About us

The Water-Dragons swimming club is run and administered by Jean Davies.

We are located at Howell’s school Llandaff and run Saturday mornings, 10.15 to 11.00 and 11.00 to 11.45 All Beginner- Improver. Improver/advanced ability groups taught within each session.

Water-Dragons swimming club caters to all levels of swimming ability. We are a friendly non competitive club, dedicated to teaching a high standard in all areas, including; swimming strokes, survival, water safety and R.L.S.S. techniques up to Bronze medallion standard. These are helpful for gaining points towards G.C.S.E and the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.

We follow the Amateur Swimming Association (A.S.A.) “National plan for teaching and coaching”. All of our teachers are level two qualified and hold R.L.S.S. rescue and first aid qualifications.

Our club focuses on ages 5 through 16, from beginner to advanced abilities. Basic diving, starts, turns and laws of the sport are taught with the aim to help pupils prepare for the future, when they may wish to join a competitive swimming club.

Our coaches may also be able to offer private tuition on a one to one basis at a pool of your choice.

If you would like your children to learn to swim or improve their technique, please call (029) 20253784, we look forward to hearing from you!

We look forward to see you in the near future.

Jean and the teaching staff of the Water-Dragons swimming club.
